Digital illustrator Jude Gibbs finds inspiration in nature, plants and animals. For this project, Gibbs created a graphic novel aimed at children with the underlying theme of kindness. “This project gave me the opportunity to refine my digital illustration skills and also experiment with how I can incorporate traditional textures such as watercolours and inks into my digital work in a subtle way,” Gibbs explains. The story is about a brother and sister who embark on a journey to return a star that has fallen from the night sky. It chronicles the obstacles they face as they attempt to return the star back to where it belongs.
