Sharon Alviz is a conceptual artist interested in the urban landscape. Utilising peculiar perspectives, she invites audiences to consider architectural compositions and our wider relations to them, creating images where humans intervene with their surroundings in an almost apathetic manner.

The Lovely Paper series offers a clean, geometric setting, building a playground of frozen shapes and performative gestures, generating a new sense of aesthetic ennui.  Using a soft colour palette, playful scenarios are filled with a sense of unsettling peacefulness.

Solid colour blocks build tension with the photographs; reaching new creative possibilities, the images invoke a sense of utopia, whilst being fixed in a moment of stasis.
