Re-Interpreting Worlds

Chrystal Lebas’ Regarding Nature explores the dynamic between human beings and the organic landscape as two interacting spheres of life. Each image is a re-interpretation of glass plates previously created by British botanist and ecologist Sir Edward James Salisbury, providing a cultural link between different time periods and topographies.
