The art of Richard Devereux makes use of pressure dispersal techniques, where the random effects of particle interference determine the evolution of the finished product. The artist sees himself as a ‘facilitator’ of the work, and suggests that in the absence of a narrative interpretation of the result, the art takes on a meditative quality.
