Akira Nakayasu is an interactive artist and projection designer. Evoking the idea of a living presence, Tentacle Flora creates a lifelike robotic sculpture using the mysterious sea anemone as a motif, exploring what it means to feel alive and to inhabit a space. It comprises delicate movements of 100 shape-memory alloy actuators as tentacles, alongside a gentle bioluminescence-like light.
