Looking to artist and filmmaker Arthur Jafa’s multilayered video work Love Is The Message, The Message Is Death – a powerful exploration of the black American experience – a rotating exhibition at MCA Chicago captures the essence of contemporary life in the US.
Featuring work by Deana Lawson, Glenn Ligon, Kerry James Marshall, Marilyn Minter, Robert Mapplethorpe, Carrie Mae Weems and Bruce Nauman, Prisoner of Love draws an important portrait that stretches across history.
The show opens 26 January. Find out more here.
