Power of Nature

Power of Nature

Anastasia Mihaylova is dedicated to visualising the deep connections between body and nature. Born and raised in Ukraine, the artist was forced to leave her homeland following the outbreak of war. She now lives and works in Warsaw, continuing to tell human stories through what she describes as “the universal language of light, form and emotion.” In these compositions, there is no makeup, styling or heavy retouching. Subjects are set in stunning locations: nestled amongst rich, mossy forests and mist-veiled fields; climbing up dramatic mountain peaks; or curled up in Iceland’s stark volcanic terrain. “Here, the human form is not separate from the land but woven into its textures, shapes and stories,” she reflects. Together, the images are a reminder of our collective responsibility towards the Earth and the beauty that surrounds us. Mihaylova’s works have been featured in Vogue Germany and exhibited amidst the bright lights of Times Square in New York. mihaylovajpg.com | @mihaylova.jpg
