Philomene Olofio’s collection is inspired by African design patterns that represent her origin and also by Dr Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream’’ speech, which represents freedom. The design pattern contains various forms made into repetitive patterns in a range of colours, including the red, yellow and white of the Central African Republic flag; nude colours represent skin tones. The Identity & Self-Expression collection is about feeling comfortable within oneself through everyday style and image.
