MOTI Hotel, Breda, Netherlands

MOTI, Museum of the Image, holds a unique collection of art that reflects the visual culture of modern society. From 28 September the gallery exhibits a special showcase of these works in MOTI Hotel. Featuring 20 international and national artists, the curators have invited the artist to be guests in the rooms at MOTI Hotel. Among those invited are Antoine Peters, Hendrik Vibskov, Piet Parra and Philips Design.

All of the chosen artists will respond to works in MOTI’s collection. Some of the pieces used include Milton Glaser’s I Love New York logo and Anthony Burrill’s Work Hard & be Nice To People. The public are requested to choose three of their favourite new works from the exhibition and MOTI will then purchase these three new works to be part of the museum’s collection.

The participating designers who are in with the chance of becoming part of the museum’s collection are: Aram Bartholl, Anthony Burrill, Juul Hondius, Noortje van Eekelen, Paula Scher, Akatre, Martijn Engelbregt, NL Architects, Pinar & Viola, Niels Schrader, Antoine Peters, Dawn, Maurer United, Honey & Bunny, Atelier Ted Noten, Harmen Liemburg, MVRDV, AKV|St.Joost, Pictoplasma and Herman van Bostelen.
