Minjie Lv uses the lens to select a part of the existing world to express ideas, seeing photography as a form of painting. Lv’s current focus is on minimalism – drawing upon traditional Chinese paintings and poetry, she applies the aesthetic of negative space to frame the work, allowing the viewer tto find their own personal resonances.
