Aleksander Malachowski is a Warsaw-based, working at the intersection of photography, geometry and symmetry, focusing on the spaces which we inhabit, walk through, climb up, and nestle into.
Through a range of perspectives, glaring upwards, scanning downwards and cutting across the city skyline, Malachowski’s lens searches the metropolis like a surveillance camera.
His latest IG page explores nighttime scenes. The images revel in undergrounds worlds with small windows of illumination. Rosy fields of light pour down onto darkened scenes; pastel pink window frames stare out from blank, empty buildings; red traffic lights glare, knowingly, out into the road.
