Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair: Celebrating Printmaking

Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair: Celebrating Printmaking

Royal Arsenal is one of the most historical riverside locations in London and, this November, it provides the setting for the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. This event has over 50 exhibiting artists and specialises solely in contemporary printmaking. WCPF brings dynamic works of art to the capital city’s emerging art scene and aims to support artists who are at the beginning chapter of their career.

The fair is accompanied by a series of demonstrations, artist tours and advisory discussions. Throughout the event, visitors can see the professionals in action at one of the venue’s two demonstration areas. Etching, screen-printing and lithograph are some of the technical skills being exhibited at the fair. Interactive presentations allow visitors the chance to learn more about these printmaking methods and understand the practices used to create such art pieces.

In addition to this there will be a specialist framing service and complimentary styling advice from interior designers at the event. Visitors can step into the Woolwich concept room and gather ideas and inspiration on how to exhibit their artwork at home and how to choose a piece that will fit well in a specific environment.

WCPF celebrates printmaking in every form – from etching and lithography, to woodblock and screen-printing. Exhibitors will include both emerging artists and more established practitioners, to offer a diverse selection of prints at a range of prices suitable for both first-time-buyers and avid art collectors. Whether you are looking to invest in contemporary print or looking to acquire the skills to become a print artist, this event gives a great insight into the printmaking industry and offers something for everyone.
