Stylised Perspectives

Stylised Perspectives

An exhibition at Ibasho Gallery, Antwerp, celebrates the work of contemporary Japanese photographers. The collection comprises a range of styles, genres and techniques, showcasing the breadth of work produced today. Featured practitioners engage with the fast pace of everyday life, recording experiences in both urban and rural locations.

Bringing together both celebrated and new pieces, the show offers both established and emerging practitioners a platform to share work with wider audiences. Featured are works from Eiji Ohashi’s Roadside Lights series, which captures illuminated structures within expansive – yet stylised – landscapes.Investigating the vernacular of the city is Yoshinori Mizutani, who crafts abstracted images of city life. Pairing bold colours with clean lines, the artist offers striking compositions with a pop aesthetic.

The show runs until 1 September. Find out more here.
