Doorways, staircases, windows and curtains haunt the images of Indonesian photographer Ferdonio Damanik, offering the taste of worlds beyond.
Shafts of light pour in with shades of pale blue and neon red – a spectrum of possibilities yet to be experienced, tilting between danger and melancholy.
Damanik’s images are at once minimal yet labyrinthine: a network of nocturnal landscapes connected by the pull of an unknown force. They seem to ask viewers to come closer.
