Fashion designer Nicole Siddle is inspired by the versatility of street style and views it as a way for people to express who they are without having to speak. Comfort, fit and feeling good are of importance to Siddle, whose latest collection Suburbia is influenced by hip-hop culture. She notes: “Even though street style is thought to be quite masculine, it is completely acceptable for women to wear baggy clothes and feel comfortable in them.”
Saadia Shiekh’s collection arose from a desire to demonstrate that disability is not synonymous with inability. It is designed for diverse bodies.
