Next Generation: Limitless Visions

Aesthetica interview Elliott Lowe, one of the featured artists from Issue 72’s image collaboration with London College of Communication that traces the paths of emerging photographers to watch. With minimalist influences and subtle palettes, the works are an example of the exciting progressions being made.

Lowe’s images arrive through a pleasure of combining forms, textures and colour. Through capturing these fleeting notions he creates unsettling, humourous and seductive compositions. Juxtaposed for the camera, banal everyday materials become transformed in relation to one another and evoke an alluring tension between familiarity and beauty.
