Whilst street photography has perhaps been consistently likened to the work of world-renowned practitioners such as Joel Meyerowitz and Martin Parr, it is still a genre that evokes innovation and finds beauty in the everyday. The third annual LensCulture Street Photography Awards invites artists to delve back into the world of the quotidian through the lens of the metropolis, and pull out something new. An open call for submissions looks to documenting the exceptional moments of life in all its vibrancy. Shortlisted artists and winners receive recognition through exposure, an exhibition in San Francisco and prize money.
Judges include Caroline Hunter, Picture Editor at The Guardian Weekend Magazine, Molly Roberts, Senior Photography Editor, National Geographic and Jim Casper, Editor-in-Chief, LensCulture.
