The annual summer exhibition Free Range returns to the Truman Brewery, London, for 2019. Showcasing fresh creativity from across the UK, the show comprises work by 800 emerging practitioners, with two of its three weeks dedicated to the ever-evolving medium of photography.
For example, featured here is work by Brighton-based artist Eva Louisa Jonas. The black-and-white photographs capture traces of the everyday, playing with framing to zoom in on details: a hand, a collar, a piece of fruit. A longing for connection underlies each work, reflecting on personal relationships between the self and natural worlds.
Free Range runs 21 June-8 July. Find out more here.
