Hanne Darboven, Enlightenment, Haus der Kunst, Munich

Haus der Kunst, Munich hosts the first major retrospective of the work of Hanne Darboven (1941–2009) after the artist’s death. The show, on display from 18 September, will bring together key works from all phases of her prolific work. It is collaboratively organised by and simultaneously presented at Haus der Kunst and the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn. Whilst both exhibition venues highlight the outstanding and expansive oeuvre of this key conceptual artist, each offers a different focal point within it; the exhibition at Haus der Kunst concentrates on the expansive work series from cultural history, music, literature, and science, and the Bundeskunsthalle features works in which the artist is concerned with history, political events, and German history.

18 September 2015 – 14 February 2016.
