Nelli Palomäki’s (b. 1981) photography seeks to find new ways to interpret highly classical monochrome portraiture. Renowned as part of a celebrated list of artists at the Helsinki School and Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, her newest exhibition, Shared, explores the complex theme of siblinghood, depicted through intimate and gestural compositions. Humanity comes to the fore in these dynamic images; adolescence is a tangible, dual experience evident within the frames.
