Forgotten Utopia

Forgotten Utopia

Investigating the legacy of late modernist architecture and its utopian ideals, artist David Hartt’s In The Forest explores Moshe Safdie’s abandoned and unfinished Habitat Puerto Rico project – a housing development now reclaimed by its environment.

On display at Oakville Galleries, the film, photographs and sculptures consider the symbolism and ideologies behind this forgotten residential typology, repositioning them for the 21st century.

The show runs until 6 January. Find out more here.
