Exploring cultural history through clothing, Fashion Statements: Decoding Israeli Dress at Israel Museum, Jerusalem, brings together 200 years of creativity.
Creating a local narrative, the large-scale exhibition comprises clothing, sketches, films and photography to draw a striking portrait of fashion in Israel. From its deepest historical roots to contemporary collections, the display offers dialogues about tradition and modernity.
Featured here are images by Muslin Brothers, a collective based in Tel Aviv. The locally handmade, androgynous garments expand the very definition of fashion, offering a new and inclusive production model.
The show runs until 6 April. Find out more here.
