Eva Mancey

What do people do in Croxley? Mancey looks at the daily lives of people who live there, documenting how and where they spend their time. A big part of the primary research was walking around Croxley and taking pictures of the village, observing things people had done to the area and what was left behind. The artist used these pictures – alongside a variety of different mediums – to expand on patterns and similarities. Examples included empty spaces, signs and barriers as well as buildings or manmade elements. Experimentation and development led to the final outcome: a book on a café in Croxley.
