Emma Henderson is a queer visual artist from Yorkshire who mainly uses photographic practice to produce gender-bent and LGBTQ+ inspired art. She mixes photography and image manipulation to outline key issues surrounding the body within a fourth wave and modern feminist photographic art practice. Her installation pieces are simple yet striking, putting on a show of their own through bold colour and simplistic muted tones. After years in the wedding industry, Henderson wanted to break free from her mould and seek her purpose within the art world, “smashing the shackles of conventional photography and rising from the ashes to dance on them.”
