Ellie Thomas’ Remote series captures images of young dancers who have been forced to train within their homes due to lockdown. The photographs were shot remotely via an app, and take place within the environment in which each dancer performs their rigorous training regime. Thomas is keen to explore how a dancer behaves within their home, in an effort to observe the transition from the stage and studio to a new, unexpected environment. Each portrait showcases the dancer’s skill, strength and resilience, highlighting a dedication to the craft.
