Visual artist Sarah Oppenheimer’s new work, on view at von Bartha, S-chanf, offers a unique gallery experience. Re-imagining architectural space through mechanical movement, the piece, entitled I-131311, is embedded within von Bartha’s walls. 

Comprising movable windows and doors. it activates upon touch – initiating a chain reaction of motion. Encouraging participation, Oppenheimer’s work manipulates perceptions – involving the viewer in a constantly shifting timeline of cause and effect.
