Taking stock of the immediate environment; banal, bleak and comforting, Turner creates objects made of gestural lines, reified by a rhyming structure of form and tone. This is seen in Wool Painting through its mimicry of domestic textures and spaces, embedded and contained in a “frames within frames” construction.
