Tyler Mallison

Primark t-shirts. Standing desks. Pictures of “nothing.” These are the subjects of London-based Tyler Mallison, who is interested in the notion of potential and questions of agency and logic. His body of work spans a wide variety of media and is underlined by ongoing investigations into economic, societal and technological narratives. Examples include sculptural prototypes “for a better way of working,” offering a pre-pandemic vision of future labour, complete with USB jump rope. _____(NTIME) is a collection of illusory surfaces on canvas that demand physical proximity, inviting viewers to consider presence and orientation.
