The fiction writer, poet and playwright was shortlisted for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award 2020 for her fiction Erasure. Also in 2020, Hofler won the Hurston/Wright Award for College Writers in Fiction, was a finalist for Best of the Net and won the Yemassee Poetry Prize which resulted in her work being featured in the Yemassee Journal in 2021. She is currently writing her first novel while undertaking a PhD.
