Using the aesthetics of Asian languages with a cross-cultural and conceptual approach, The Circle of Time is a metaphor for comparing the handover of Hong Kong to China. Engaging the viewers in a meditative experience about the global crisis of democracy, it also aims to increase awareness about the importance of freedom of speech.
