Revolving around the duality of permanence and impermanence, Sintered Books embodies the ideas of fragility, trace and time. Working with domestic items that transform into objects of otherness the piece is a collection of discarded books that were submitted to, and survived, the heat of the kiln, despite their seeming fragility, alluding to rebirth and strength.
