The Sculptor Speaks
The Sculptor Speaks is a ‘resounding’ of a 1961 tape by Barbara Hepworth. Louvel applies principles of sculpture to her voice to manipulate its texture, as direct carving. Drawing from Hepworth’s singular sculptural relationship to the landscape of Cornwall, a geometric line emerges from the seascape, completing a full meditative cycle.
