In SMALL WORLDS, Lockdown in Meltham, Olivia Hemingway combines personal interviews and portraits with powerful stories of strength, struggle and community spirit. Hemingway’s work embodies bold narratives and expressions of hope. Recent work has explored grief, human connections and the slowing down of time, as well as focusing on the macro: finding beauty in the ordinary. Hemingway’s collaborators and clients include Aardman Animations, BBC, Tate, National Portrait Gallery, the United Nations, Jodie Whittaker, Massive Attack and Sir Quentin Blake. Exhibitions include the Imperial War Museum, Leeds City Museum and the Barbican.
