Maureen Gruben’s practice combines industrial, domestic and land-based techniques and materials, sharing intimate perspectives on contemporary life in the western Arctic. Stitching My Landscape consists of 111 ice fishing holes connected with red broadcloth, evoking the strength of community, and the potential for being healed by the land.
