Marianne Keating’s research addresses the hidden histories of the Irish diaspora in Jamaica. She considers fragmented identities via archival and postcolonial frames, as well as the creolisation of the Irish in Jamaica. Filmed between the two countries, the artist analyses the largely undocumented migration of these communities, responding to the cultural legacies of colonialism.
