Digital art series Heirlooms investigates how domestic environments are impacted by patterns of emotional behaviour. An assemblage of objects and actions offer a glimpse of a complex relationship, leaving space for viewers to apply their own thoughts. In her wider practice, London-based artist Lyndsay Martin combines film, found objects and photography to record emotional landscapes and the potential of interpersonal connections. The Gothic sensibility and notions of time leave narratives and protagonists to fade away, whilst suppressed feelings of rage, grief and desire come to the fore in symbolic compositions.
