Lucinda Burgess

Burgess emphasises transience: the constantly changing nature of materials and the viewer’s direct experience. Neither drawing nor sculpture, Borderlines highlights humankind’s inability to define, pin down and fix amidst this constant flow of life. The piece looks like a drawing, made of paper and pencil, but expands sculpturally into the floor.
