Kyriakos Paraskevopoulos

Rain / Desert Rain

By perceiving creation as a phenomenon, Kyriakos Paraskevopoulos produces installations – which he defines as “sculptural environments” – with an emphasis on the factors of error, void space and the very process of composition and deposition. Governed by their own rules, but at the same time defined by the site of their deposition , these ”environments” can be interpreted as drawings cast within space: singular sculptures, systems and / or fields, of multiple readings and narratives, in which opposing concepts such as the ephemeral and the diachronic – the personal and the collective – are redefined, in a state of constant fluidity.
