Kat Anderson is a visual artist, musician and filmmaker, using the genre of horror to discuss representations of mental illness and trauma as experienced by, or projected upon, Black bodies. Her pieces have included collections of audio / visual notes on oppression, Black liberation and the white imagination, whilst reflecting on the violence of institutional racism and the revolutionary strategies that Black activists, artists and community organisers have proposed to tackle these oppressive racialised forces. Anderson’s most recent work has been featured with Google Arts & Culture, Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival and Transmissions TV.
