Moon Boat
Junsuke Yokoyama first began painting when studying at the law department of Komazawa University. Since then, Yokoyama has focused mostly on oil painting, but in recent years, he has expanded his area of focus, moving from the boundaries of two-dimensions into three-dimensional pieces and reliefs. Yokoyama’s practice is built on spontaneity, and isn’t labelled with a particular style or genre. In doing so, Yokoyama adheres to a developing form of expression devoid of agenda, or consistent themes. Here, aesthetics are offered free reign – able to rise to the surface as imagination takes over. Yokoyama is guided solely by creative drivers.
