As an interdisciplinary artist, Ayala investigates the gap between the composition and decomposition of pictures, revealing extraordinary transformations. Using up to 100,000 broken eggshells, she creates various shades of white within the exhibition space as rays of light are broken along the sharp edges of the shells. The result is a spatial painting.
