The signature partially-submerged sculptures of Jason deCaires Taylor address social and environmental concerns through their interactions with aquatic environments. The work Rising Tide, on the banks of the River Thames, fuses oil extraction machinery with the equine form, evoking the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and raising questions of the climate impact of fossil fuels.
