Poetry-society member Janet Lees was shortlisted for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award 2019. Her work has also been selected by FilmPoem. Her poetry has been widely published in journals including Artemis Poetry, Lighthouse and Magma. Her first book House on the water was released in 2019 and features 25 of her poems alongside her photography. In 2020 she was the headline poet at the Cheltenham Poetry Festival.
