Jane Sampson

Sampson admires Robert Rauchenberg. As an artist not afraid to experiment, he often incorporated unlikely materials into his work. Rauchenberg said,:“You
begin with the possibilities of the material.” Sampson had this in mind when making the featured piece, Rauchenbirds, and titled it with an appreciative nod to his free spirit. The work is a mixture of painting and screenprint.
