There are 4000 images arranged in stacks. This piece has been made during the process of archiving en-prints made between 1980 and 2005. In Repose every sitter is a near neighbour and friend in the East End of London, drawing on the tradition and function of portraiture. The sheer volume becomes a monument to the process of photography: the edit, the selection, the work made.
