Filip Custic

“I feel that, as humans, we’re in continuous transformation.” Spanish artist Filip Custic works across photography, performance and video to address themes around the body, identity and technology. For example, video loop overthinking myself examines the impact of digital technologies on our conscience and sense of self. Mirrors and screens are recurring features, referencing the current obsession with image and selfie culture. Mathematic symbols and scientific allusions are also drawn upon in Custic’s creative process. Throughout, the artist focuses on how technological objects can help celebrate diverse identities.
