Erwin Redl’s work, engages with binary logic, assembling materials according to a narrow set of rules inspired by computer code. Whiteout uses 900 transparent luminous spheres that form a carpet which envelopes its surroundings. The LEDs are animated, superimposing a virtual pattern on top of the kinetic movement from the spheres.
