A fascination with the sublimity of nature pervades Erik Hijweege’s work. The artist expresses this in images of towering storm clouds over small cities and depictions of waterfalls. Hijweege works with a wide range of techniques, varying from 19th century wet plate collodion with copper Petzval lenses to traditional film and high-end digital cameras.
