Emmy Yoneda is a “collision of cultures.” Influenced by her two cultural identities, the work exists in the space in between. In Inherited Landscapes, she captures memories in the form of the moving image – brief encounters across Japan and Scotland, moving side by side. A dialogue between these countries allows room for contemplation and understanding.
