Monoliths are usually immense, imposing, using very heavy stones. Our ancestors placed them in certain locations as an indelible and meaningful mark of their passage on the earth. Nowadays, monoliths can be reinterpreted and recontextualised through photography. These images enhance and reinterpret the idea of the monument through structure.
